Park City Point 2 Point

At the end of August Richie and his brothers did the Point 2 Point bike ride. We went up the night before. The kids were happy to spend the night at a hotel. The morning was nice, but the afternoon it was rainy and cold. The kids did a good job while we waited for Richie to come in at the second check point to eat lunch.

Derrick wasn't too sure about sleeping in a new place. I got him to sleep and about the time that Richie and I were going to bed he woke up, and thought it was time to play.

Richie getting ready to start the ride.

The first time that we were able to see him ride past us.

The second check point. The kids were really happy to see him.

This is the hill that they had to ride up after taking a small break. A lot of the other riders were walking up it.

Meg wasn't too sure about the people movers. Conner loved them.

This little guy was so happy to be out of the stroller.

We saw a guy walking his bike in the distance. It turned out to be Richie. He got a flat about the last 1/2 mile or so and he thought it would be faster to walk his bike. A lot of the people cheered him on as he passed the finished line.

This is how long it took him:

Fixing his flat.

Derrick was having too much fun running around. He tripped and did a face plant and hit his head on a rock that was hidden in the grass. We went and got him an ice pack, but he didn't like it.
